You have the talent and the nerve! Now all you have to do is learn the basic skills for the art of theater. Learn those skills and act out in class to really feel like an actor.

Art in Action - $79

Put art into action and fine tune your acting skills with various blocking techniques and voice projection exercises. You will leave a much better actor and have tons of fun learning how.

Behind the Scenes - $79

Come find out what the other side of the curtain contains as you learn what it takes to put on a real theatrical production. From advertising to actually building scenery, be there to find out what it takes to be an agent, producer, director and so much more.

Build Instruments - $79

Instruments aren’t all brass and specially made. Figure out how to make different instruments from regular materials and even things you can find at home. You never know, by the end you might even have your own home-built band.

Freestyle - $79

Improv! To be a successful actor or comedian, you have to be good at coming up with things quickly. Here you learn tricks to improv and act out scenarios to make people laugh.

Game Show - $79

Have you ever dreamed of being on a game show? Well, here is your chance. Let's investigate what happens on various game shows so when your name is called, you will be ready for millions.

High School Musical - $79

The movies have been a hit, and now it is time to put you in the scenes. You will become part of the movies as we act, sing, and dance to the music. On Friday, we will put on our own musical, Activ8 style.

Juggling - $79

Juggle is a fun word to say but even more fun to do. Learn how to juggle in this class, and with practice, by the end of the class, you will actually have four things in the air at once.

Mime Theater - $79

See how your body movements and facial expressions speak for themselves and allow you to communicate with others. You will perform skits to music and learn how to face paint.

Movie Critic - $79

Time for people to really hear what you think of movies. You will see what most movie critics look for in movies and then become a critic yourself. Your opinion matters because the number of stars or thumbs-up you give will influence others.

On Broadway - $149

Broadway is full of musicals, and it is time for you to try it out. We will put on an Activ8 musical that you will perform in front of an audience on Friday, 07/11. (Class will not meet 6/30-7/4)

Reader's Theater - $79

Take over your favorite stories and novels by jumping into character. You will gain a different perspective on theater, learn expressions and emotions, and bust out of your “shy shell” (if you have one) as you read and act out loud.

Studio A8 - $195

This will be Activ8’s big performance of the summer. Spend three weeks preparing to go on University Hall’s big stage on August 1. You will put on a play (to be determined by the teacher) and finish the Activ8 summer with a performance bang. All levels of actors are welcome because we are here to have fun while learning how to be the best actor we can be.

Studio Crew - $79

Studio A8 is the big performance of the summer. We will need the right scenery/set to perform on. As the studio crew, you will build all of it and work with the actors to make this play as successful as possible.

Talent Show - $79

Come show off your talents, and learn how to improve your act. We are going to work hard because on Friday, we will be putting on the talent show for your family and friends.
